Become an engaged alumnus of CSU!

Columbus State's Alumni Association was established in 1959, a year after the university’s founding, with the purpose of serving alumni of what was then Columbus College. Since then, the association has evolved to accommodate the changing needs of its alumni base, which today totals over 30,000 degree-holders.

While much has changed, the goals of the Alumni Association remain the same: to serve the alumni of the university and support the initiatives of Columbus State. The Alumni Association plans several events for alumni to gather, network and share their love of CSU! Events planned for 2011-2012 include:

• First Thursday: A casual networking gathering on the “First Thursday” of selected months, where the “first one” is on the Alumni Association!
• Alumni Day at the Atlanta Braves: The next one is set for June 9, 2012, when the Braves host the Toronto Blue Jays at Turner Field. Pre-game dinner will be at the 755 Club at 2:30 p.m., followed by the 4:30 p.m. game. To sign up, call 706-507-8956.

• Alumni Weekend: Our first Alumni Weekend (Oct. 21-22, 2011) included outdoor concerts, alumni recognition luncheon, group volunteer activities and gatherings by school, college and milestone anniversaries.
• Homecoming Alumni Tweener: This reception between the women’s and men’s basketball games honors alumni and gives them a chance to reconnect.
• Alumni Association Annual Meeting (May 21, 2012): All alumni are welcome as we elect officers and plan future activities.
