Cindy Ticknor, M.Ed. '98
Thomas Y. Whitley Distinguished Alumnus Award
Dr. Cindy Ticknor, M.Ed. '98, currently serves as the dean of the Honors College and a professor of mathematics at Columbus State University. She is a three-time nominee of CSU Educator of the Year and has recently completed a compilation book which includes her three educational comic books, The Mysterious I.D. Vide in Newton's Nemesis. 

Stephen Butler
Frank D. Brown Achievement & Leadership Excellence Award
Steve Butler joined the W.C. Bradley Co. in 194 and was elected Chairman and CEO in 1987. In 2008, he turned over his role as CEO and served as Executive Chairman until his retirement in 2018. Currently, Butler serves as the Chairman of the Synovus Bank Advisory Board and serves on the boards of Synovus Financial Corporation, the Bradley-Turner Foundation, Brookstone School, Teen Challenge Southeast, the Pastoral Institute, the Columbus State University Foundation, and Right from the Start.  

Joyce Dent-Fitzpatrick, B.S. '98 & M.P.A. '98
Distinguished Alumnus in Military/Public Service
Joyce Dent-Fitzpatrick, B.S. '98 & M.P.A. '98, has worked for the Columbus Police Department for 34 years, currently serving as the assistant chief of police. In 2001, she was named the first-ever female Officer of the Year. Over her expansive career she has worked in the Patrol Division, Special Operations, Motor Squad, and the Investigative Bureau as a Sex Crimes Detective. 

Donald Bush, B.S. '81
Distinguished Alumnus in Military/Public Service
Donald Bush, B.S. '81, is a lieutenant for the Columbus Police Department. His role within the department has included various community intiatives, including the D.A.R.E. program, National Night Out events, and he is the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Area Coordinator.

Boris Abramov, B.M. '10 & M.M. '14
Young Alumni Award
Boris Abramov, B.M. '10 & M.M. 14, is a decorated violinist with awards and honors across the world. He currently serves as a lecturer in music at Columbus State. He is currently engaged on a recording project in New York and Moscow that will feature the chamber music of Dmitri Shostakovich. 

Patty Taylor, Hon. '17
Alumni Service Award
Patty Taylor, Hon. 17, currently serves as the Chairperson for the Dance Minor Board of Advisors. In 2015, she established a multi-million dollar planned gift to endow the Dance program at Columbus State. Professionally, Taylor owned and operated Academy of Fine Arts Dance Center for 45 years before her retirement in 2014. 

Rashmi Hudson, B.B.A. '83 & M.B.A. '91
Alumni Service Award
Rashmi Hudson, B.B.A. '83 & M.B.A. '91, is the founder and inventor of ALLTIMATE luggage and is a loyal supporter and board member for CSU's tennis teams. Hudson has been instrumental in the success of the tennis program's annual Tennis Classic, with a goal of raising funds for the team's fifth-year scholarship program.
